CBC
LaboratoryA Complete Blood Count (CBC) is a routine medical test that measures the primary components of your blood to evaluate your overall health. It tracks red blood cells, which carry oxygen; white blood cells, which fight infection; and platelets, which help the blood clot. This test is used to screen for a wide range of conditions, including anemia, infections, and various immune system disorders, by identifying counts that are higher or lower than normal.
LFT
LaboratoryLFT (Liver Function Test) is a group of blood tests used to evaluate how well the liver is working by measuring levels of proteins, liver enzymes, and bilirubin. It tracks enzymes like ALT and AST, which leak into the bloodstream if liver cells are damaged, and ALP, which relates to the bile ducts. The test also measures albumin and total protein to see how well the liver is producing essential nutrients, as well as bilirubin, a waste product that can cause jaundice if it builds up. This panel is used to screen for liver infections like hepatitis, monitor the side effects of medications, and diagnose conditions such as fatty liver disease or cirrhosis.
RFT
LaboratoryRFT (Renal Function Test) is a group of blood and urine tests used to evaluate how effectively the kidneys are filtering waste from the body. It primarily measures levels of creatinine and blood urea nitrogen (BUN), which are waste products that healthy kidneys typically remove. The test also calculates the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) to determine the kidneys' filtering capacity and checks the balance of electrolytes like sodium and potassium. This screening is essential for diagnosing kidney disease, monitoring existing renal conditions, and assessing the impact of medications on kidney health.
